Tepoztlan is one hour south of Mexico City by car. It is twenty minutes from Cuernavaca. If flying from the U.S., Mexico City is 2 1/2 hours from Dallas, 3 1/2 hours from Miami or Los Angeles and 4 1/2 hours from Chicago.

Rental cars, taxi service or bus are good options to get from the airport in Mexico City to Tepoztlan. Large s.u.v. taxi service is also available from the airport.

Many of our guests like to take the Pullman de Morelos, a luxury bus service, from Mexico City to Cuernavaca, followed by a short taxi ride to Tepoztlan.

Rental cars are available from major rental companies including Hertz and Avis in Mexico City and Cuernavaca. Your car is secure in the private gated compounds of Villa San Clementito and Hacienda Clemente Jacques.

Taxis are moderately priced in Mexico. Cab fare from the Hacienda and Villa to Tepoztlan is approximately $5.00 (USD). Make sure and agree on the fare before getting in the taxi.

Since cab fare is reasonably priced, some visitors "hire" a taxi to make day trips to neighboring areas.

Public transportation, in the way of vans called "combis" or "peseros", pass outside the Hacienda and Villa compound every 15 -20 minutes.  The fare to Tepoztlan or Amatlan is only fifty cents (USD).
